Is it best to set up the NAS as a network drive, and then run the back up using the assigned windows drive letter? Or should it be mapped to //Diskstation/volume1/. ![]() So what I want to be able to do, is run syncback (or some other software) which mirrors the contents of a local folder onto a folder on the NAS. It has been working great for ages but lately I've been having all sorts of weird issues, which I think are related to permissions and accounts on the NAS. There is a copy of all the media on my local PC, and add media to my local PC, and then run a backup task to mirror the contents on my PC to the NAS. ![]() Long story short, I have a Synology NAS, which I use to serve media to a Kodi machine. First of all I'm not that technical so have a cobbled together solution which may not be entirely optimal, so apologies for any frustrations.
